A lifestyle of a person changes as the society modernizes people prefer to ride their gorgeous cars instead of walking, playing their computers/cellphone instead of doing physical sports and days gone by continuing this lifestyle more people are becoming overweight and worse, obese.

How does obesity happen?

Your genes also play a role in your body weight but there are many kinds of things that can also affect your weight. One of the main factors that raise the risk of obesity are fast foods and sweets, instead of eating a nutrient-rich food (takes time to prepare), people often access fattening fast food instead because they can make it in an instant but little do they know that they are becoming more unhealthy.

What bad things can happen when you are overweight or obese?

If a person is overweight or obese it can cause a variety of health problems, from having a heart disease and diabetes to stroke and even having some types of cancer. Getting these diseases can affect your life greatly and lead to premature death.

People might be thinking that you just have to tell the person to go on a diet but little do they know that it takes more than that to make a person prevent being obese.

The World Health Organization says it requires an integrated approach that includes:

* Promote healthy eating habits and encourage exercise.

* Develop public policies that promote access to healthy, low-fat, high-fiber foods.

* Training healthcare professionals so that they can effectively support people who need to lose weight and help others avoid gaining weight.

How to lose some weight or how to avoid being overweight or obese?

* Start by eating healthier foods like vegetables, fruits, nuts, and whole grains.

* Exercise is a must by doing so it can help burn some calories. Do some exercises for at least 30 minutes a day.

* Reduce your consumption of fatty and sugary foods.

* Use vegetable-based oils rather than animal-based fats.

All that being said the most important part of this is discipline. You can start slowly applying this lifestyle you don't have to rush it.

Just remember that exercise a little more, reduce eating fatty foods and you can make your body healthy again as well as maintaining it.
