How To Get All The Nutrients From The Vegetable Pechay

Pechay is a leafy vegetable that is low in calorie and low in fat that makes it a good food for people who are dieting.

The fresher the Pechay the healthier it gets and if you eat it raw you can have the highest level nutrients from the Pechay (just like every leafy vegetable they lose some of their nutrients when cooked), you can also eat it cooked and still get some of its nutrients. Just remember to wash them thoroughly before eating it raw.

Pechay contains nutrients like vitamins and minerals that are needed to keep you healthy. Nutrients included in Pechay are vitamin C (needed for boosting our immune system), vitamin A, vitamin B-6, and minerals like potassium, magnesium, phosphorus.

How to make Sauteed Pechay (Ginisang Pechay)


* 1/2 kilo of Pechay Tagalog (sliced)
* 2 cloves of minced garlic
* 2 tablespoons of cooking oil
* 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
* 1 kilo of ground pork
* 1 medium onion (chopped)
* salt and ground black pepper


* Preheat your frying pan with oil then saute the garlic, when the garlic turns golden brown you can now add the onions.
* Next is to add the ground pork and cook it for around 5-10 minutes. Season them with soy sauce, salt, and pepper.
* Now you can add the Pechay Tagalog then turn off the heat and allow the greens to be cooked by the residual heat.
* Lastly is to serve it with a smile.
