Most of us drink coffee after we wake up in the morning because we wanted to keep us awake for our daily routine not only that coffee too tastes good. But there are many health risks if you drink coffee on an "EMPTY STOMACH". Here's what you can get when you drink coffee on an empty stomach.

Stomach acids

Our stomach is made up of acids which help us with digesting foods. When our stomach is empty the acid didn't have work and when you add more acids from the coffee, your stomach becomes acidic environmental and it is perfect condition for formatting cancer cells.


There is a calm hormone in our brains called serotonin and when we drink coffee on an empty stomach the amount of serotonin in our brains decreases production which causes anxiety and depression.

Throwing a cup of coffee on top of that empty stomach causes, even more, anxiety by boosting your body’s cortisol and adrenaline levels.

That will leave you feeling jittery, nervous and weak.


The experts claim that drinking coffee on an empty stomach will increase the number of fluids and will cause dehydration.

If you’re like many Americans in the morning, you’ll likely respond to that dehydration by reaching for yet another cup of coffee, making things even worse for yourself.

Loss of appetite

Drinking coffee first thing in the morning on an empty stomach can make your stomach full even without eating any food. In case you are practicing this several times, your stomach will get used to not consuming breakfast and you will start losing weight.

But while coffee can be a great way to suppress your appetite at certain points in the day, the morning should not be one of those points.
